The English rules have one ambiguity. If on a turn there is no legal move for me it says I must stop playing and let the other players continue. But if, after some more plays, there are some legal plays that I can make, am I then allowed to start playing again? Or once I have stopped am I out of the game completely?Hello,
The game is not over,
you pass your turn
and then when you can move you are allowed to play again
Regards, and good game !
I've got a few questions regarding bridges:
(1) When looking at the photograph on the cover (or on top of this page) am I right to think that none of those players who built the bridges (wood, orange and red) actually benefitted from them as they did not manage to place a roof on top?
(2) I a two-players-mode with my colours being orange and red, may I place a red bridge on a brown and orange stone?
(3) If a bridge was built and on top are two stones of the same hight may another player place another bridge on top (i.e. parallel to the lower one but seperated from it by another layer of stones)?
I very much like the game and that it is made entirely of wood! Looking forward to hearing from you.Hello,
1/ Yes you are right a bridge is interessting only if there is a roof of it's own color on top of one of the tower.
2/ No you can't, you must respect the color one by one.
3/ No you can't place a bridge parallel or in the same line
Thanks for your confidence in Gigamic
Best regards
I have two questions:
1: With two players using two colors each, does the player have to alternate between colors on each turn?
2: According to your instructions about bridges, it says "A bridge must be placed on top of two pieces of different colors." Does that mean that the bridge must be different in color from its two 'base blocks', or that the base blocks must also be different in colour from each other (and also different from the bridge)?
Thanks, Hello,
1/ No he has the choice of the colour he wants to play with.
2/Yes the bridge must be different in color from it's two base block
thanks for you question

Are bridges allowed to connect two blocks of the same colour? The instructions say not but the illustration in the instructions shows two colours the same being joined by a bridge.Hello Stephanie,
the instructions are right, you are not allowed to connect 2 block of the same color.
Sorry for the mystake on the illustration

I own this game but have lost the instructions. Where could i get another copy?
There are 8 rooftops in the game. Hence one of the nine towers has no roof at the end of the game. If this tower is connected to another tower that has a roof in the colour of the bridge, does the "roofless" tower count as usual? Or is the tower without roof always zero points?Hello,
And thanks for your question.
You are right, at the end of the game, thereis a tower wothout roof. So this one counts 0 point.
A player can get point with this tower, only if he or she is got a connection with a tower by a bridge (roof and bridge of same colour). But this player gets points from the tower without roof only from levels under the bridge.
Have a nice day.
Sincerely.
Hi,
In Skybridge, the rules are a bit unclear concerning placement of bridges --do these follow the 'lowest possible level' rule? (this would be much more difficult, of course). Or are they played at any level?
We also think it could be interesting if a player can 'keep' the scores of all towers connected in a chain of bridges, as long as they've capped a tower with their bridge in it....makes it riskier to put a bridge in.
Thanks for the great games (we love Quoridor)!
Hello,
And thanks for your confidence in our games.
Well, bridges can be played at any level cause has you wrote, this is very difficult to put these at the lowest level.
For the second point, you are free to use this additional rule to make the game riskier. It should be interesting!
Sincerely yours.
i just bought the game skybridge for christmas. I lcannot follow some of the instructions. In two player mode, where each player gets two different color sets. Do you treat the different color sets as thet same color? window is TOO small to completeHello, and thanks for your question.
In 2 players game, each player get 2 colors. Each color is counting for points but you treat them as different color.
eg: you get yellow and white color. You can during the game put one white piece above a yellow one.
Sincerely.
